Corpus Christi Comic-Con 2025 Highlights

Cosplaying as Ruby Rhod and The Flight Attendant once again, we attended Corpus Christi Comic-Con 2025. Taking many photos and videos with fans, and other cosplayer. There were a lot of familiar faces and new ones. A family of devils, Spaceballs, and Trekies.

Cosplayer of the day was Maui.

My highlight of the event began with meeting with the celebrity guests, Joey Lawrence who portrayed Joey Russo in Blossom and Joe Longo in Melissa & Joey. Being the 80's babies we all were the first thing I brought up to him was what I was miss remembering about the origins of the TV show Blossom. I told him that as a fan of the show, I remembered that the show was originally called Malloy. He laughed and helped me to piece together what actually happened. Informing me that I was actually remember two different shows and that Malloy was a short lived show that crafted what would later become Blossom. He was impressed that anyone even remembered Malloy. It was a core memory that was burned in for decades. I was glad that he was able to solve this for me.

Afterwards we met with Austin St. John best known for his role as Jason Lee Scott, the original Red Ranger and first leader of the Power Rangers on the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Before taking our photos with him my wife let him know that he was on our televisions all day raising her son in the 90's and 2000's. My core memory of him was letting him know that his series was part of the reason I skipped school a lot so I wouldn't miss the Green With Evil saga.
