MOVIE REVIEW: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)

Oh boy.... boy oh boy...this made no sense for what it was being advertised as. It's basically a reboot. In fact, it would've been "better" as a reboot than a "direct sequel". The effects and kills were good. Better than expected. The story was...just...I don't know. As a movie, by itself, and NOT tied into the franchise, it was alright. The characters are annoying. You don't really root for anyone except MAYBE like 2 people. But for the most part, they were annoying. Parts of it don't make any sense either. The suspense was alright though. If this had a different title, different main weapon, and no face cut scene, it would've been fine as a stand alone movie. It's like one of those movies that was written and when handed over, they were told, "We'll make it, but only if we change some stuff and make it a 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' movie". Overall, as a tie in movie, big fail. If it wasn't a tie in movie and it's own thing, it would've been pretty good. If you want to see it, it's on Netflix. Also, there's a post credit scene. Take care now. Bye bye then.
